Barabus' Cryptset for Oblivion v1

-----------
What is it?
-----------

"Barabus' Cryptset for Oblivion" is a modders' resource pack of little interest to players.

The pack contains assets with which you can mod a full-blown crypt in medieval-style architecture. The textures are mostly custom, and Bethesda textures are only used in a few cases. Namely, a Leyawiin interior metal border texture, plus the tree trunk on the special rail piece which is from an Oblivion oak tree. So apart from those cases you don't need to know how to use NifSkope to reskin the tileset, you can do that by simply changing the included texture files.

Included in Barabus Cryptset is low walls with railings, headstones, and a crypt building. When used together the railings, headstones & building lets you mod your own cemetary, which can be any size you like. There is also a full interior tileset which is highly customizeable for a modder. Add to that numerous support pieces like caskets, urns and mummies. There is a special lightsource model which looks like an incense burner. Also, the mummies should act as containers holding the special 'mumia' ingredient. Mumia is "medicinal material from embalmed corpses" ( source: http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/mummy ).

The background of this release is that Silgrad Tower used Barabus' exquisite pack in its mod for The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind, and went on to mod several crypts with it near our cities. Since we're recreating our mod for The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion we needed Barabus' pack in order to mod those locations, so I (Razorwing) set about porting it. I spent a considerable amount of time doing that, especially on creating parallax maps for some of the pieces. They're not by any means Silgrad Tower's models, and they don't have a connection to Dunmer culture either, so I'm happy to be able to share the versions of Barabus' models I ported.

The assets are not hooked up to an esp. But since it's a modders' resource pack you probably want to control the names of the ID's and how they're placed in your existing folder structure anyways, so I hope it doesn't cause you too much trouble. I did test them out however, since the assets are also used in the Silgrad Tower mod ( www.silgrad.com ).

How to install
--------------

Since it's a modders' resource you probably don't want to install it as such, but rather check out the assets and add them to your own folders.

You're welcome to use these assets in your mod. All I ask is that you credit Barabus and me ( Razorwing ) for the models and textures in your readme. I would appreciate a link to www.silgrad.com as well, if you feel like it :)

Meshes and textures by:
	Barabus ( http://www.freewebs.com/barabus/ )
	Razorwing ( www.silgrad.com )

Barabus developed the original "Crypt and Graveyard" pack as a modders' resource for The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind, and the meshes and color textures are 100% his work. I created collision meshes for his models and physiqued a few of them where needed. I also created normal maps and some parallax maps for his color textures. It's not an equal credit, I did maybe ten percent of the work he did, but I did enough that I thought I deserved partial credit.

The fastest way to contact me is to send me a PM on Silgrad Tower Forum ( http://www.silgrad.com/wbb2/pms.php?action=newpm&userid=10 ). I'm there for half a day every day. You can also email me at "razorwing@silgrad.com". Be specific in the message header as I get a lot of spam mails. I can also be contacted on ESF, where my username is Gloomwing.

Barabus can be contacted on ESF ( http://www.bethsoft.com/bgsforums/index.php?showuser=324 ). According to my information he's currently active in the Port Jarvik project ( http://escf.rethan-manor.net/index.php?board=279.0 ).
